Ho-oh

eBay: the estimate plus the shipping you charge, less eBay's fee on both, less the per-order fee and your postage. The Buy It Now row uses the Buy It Now estimate. Fanatics, Goldin and Alt auctions: the estimate moved to that venue's prices with the gap we measure for this era, divided by one plus the buyer's premium to get the hammer price, then the seller bonus added or the commission taken off, less postage. Fanatics Buy Now and Alt fixed price: that venue's price less its seller fee and postage. Card show: the range dealers often pay for a card of this value, higher for grades that sell often and lower for grades that rarely sell (see Methodology); the figure used to rank it is the middle of that range, or the estimate times your percentage. With your own price, every place takes it as what the buyer pays, and an auction's hammer is that price less the buyer's premium. Sales tax is left out; eBay also charges its fee on tax the buyer pays. fees as of Oct 19, 2026.

• eBay auction: Trading card fee: 13.25% of the sale up to $7,500. Above that, 2.35% on the rest. The sale counts the price, shipping charged and sales tax. Each order also pays $0.30, or $0.40 over $10. Sales tax is left out here. Checked Oct 19, 2026 (confirmed). Source
• eBay Buy It Now: Same fees as the auction, on the Buy It Now estimate. That is our estimate times this era's usual Buy It Now gap, never below the estimate. Checked Oct 19, 2026 (confirmed). Source
• Fanatics auction: Buyers pay a 20% premium on the hammer price. Our stored Fanatics prices include that 20%. Premier Auction, for cards worth $25,000 or more: the seller gets 110% of the hammer. That rises to 112.5% above $250,000 and 115% above $1,000,000. Weekly Auction: a bonus of 2% to 15% on sales of $50 or more. We use the lowest, 2%. There is no seller fee. Checked Oct 19, 2026 (partly confirmed). Source
• Fanatics Buy Now: Seller fee 6% when listed under 120% of Card Ladder's market value. It is 12% at or above that. Buyers pay no fee. We list at the Fanatics price, so 6% applies. Checked Oct 19, 2026 (confirmed). Source
• Goldin auction: Buyers pay a 22% premium, at least $19. Goldin does not publish its seller commission. About 5% is a typical figure, not confirmed. We do not measure Goldin prices yet, so this route has no figure. Checked Oct 19, 2026 (partly confirmed). Source
• Alt auction: Buyers pay a 20% premium. Sellers pay no fee. The base seller bonus depends on the card's value: 4% under $1,000, 6% to $5,000, 8% to $25,000. It is 10% to $50,000, 12% to $200,000 and 15% above. We use the hammer price for the value. We assume our stored Alt prices include the premium. Checked Oct 19, 2026 (confirmed). Source
• Alt fixed price: Base seller fee: 14% to $249, 9% to $7,499, 7% to $9,999, and 5% from $10,000. Buyers pay no fee. Checked Oct 19, 2026 (confirmed). Source
• Show offer: No fee. Your own percentage of the estimate. The default follows the evidence: 87.5% strong, 80% moderate, 67.5% limited. Checked not checked (not applicable).
